Beverly Hospital is seeking an experienced and committed Pharmacy Technician I to join their collaborative team. Beverly Hospital is a Level III Trauma Center and a not-for-profit community hospital serving the North Shore of Massachusetts, proudly a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health. They care for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, with services extending across the Northeast Hospital Corporation, including Beverly Hospital (primary site), Addison Gilbert Hospital, BayRidge Hospital, and BILH Care Center – Danvers. Pharmacy Technicians are integral members of the pharmacy care team, supporting safe, effective, and timely medication services under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy licensure (Pharmacy Technician)
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (current)
- High School Diploma (minimum age 18)
- Minimum 1,000 hours as a Pharmacy Technician
- Willingness to work across multiple locations
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required
- Beth Israel Lahey Health requires that all staff be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of hospital or related pharmacy experience preferred (Exceptional aptitude may be considered in lieu of experience)
Responsibilities
- Prepare, distribute, and store medications
- Assist with IV admixtures and chemotherapy preparations
- Utilize automated and computerized dispensing systems
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Once trained, teach and mentor other technicians
- Support administrative and operational pharmacy functions
