Works as a member of the Pharmacy Team under the direction of a pharmacist and in coordination with the other technicians. Activities include Intravenous admixture preparation, both small and large volume parenteral admixtures, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) solutions using proper aseptic technique and Inventory. Deliver medications as needed. Attends periodic area meetings. This is a Full-Time position with 35 hours/week, working a 7 on/7 off schedule from 9pm to 7:30am. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: helping pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to ensure patients and departments receive the correct medications on time and are charged correctly. Working well with others and organizing daily tasks for maximum efficiency. Helping keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available. Offering pharmacy services in patient care areas. Taking part in team efforts to improve quality and support the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles. Keeping knowledge and skills up to date and helping educate others. Setting personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives. Following hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork. Providing care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.
