About The Position

Perform pharmacy services and prescription benefit-related functions for internal customers, members, physicians, and pharmacies. This fully remote role works Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Pharmacy Technician I triages provider-submitted coverage determination requests, reviews determination forms for accuracy and completeness, helps research and resolve coverage determination issues, and contacts providers for additional information to support review.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience.
• Current state Pharmacy Technician license.

Responsibilities

• Triage coverage determination requests submitted by providers through the prior authorization system.
• Review coverage determination forms submitted by providers for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist the team in researching and resolving problems involving coverage determinations.
• Contact providers for additional information to facilitate coverage determination review.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
