About The Position

This position is for a Pharmacy Technician I in the Pharmacy Department at Texas Health Plano. The role involves ensuring the timely and accurate preparation, delivery, and storage of medications, utilizing technology where appropriate. The technician will be responsible for maintaining accuracy, adhering to quality improvement and patient safety standards, and contributing to cost minimization and process efficiencies. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required
Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra.
The ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy Tech Hospital experience is strongly preferred
Other IV Certification Upon Hire is preferred

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation.
