About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician I - Oncology Infusion role involves preparing sterile compounded products for IV infusion, ensuring adequate inventory of supplies and medications, and assisting pharmacists with medication records and files. This position rotates across Kellogg Cancer Center Infusion Centers located in Evanston, Glenview, and Highland Park. The role requires travel between sites based on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; certification required within two years of initial licensure
Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred
Motivated to learn aseptic compounding skills and is a quick learner looking for a new challenge

Responsibilities

Prepare sterile compounded products for IV infusion (such as bags, syringes, pumps) in accordance with sterile clean room regulations
Ensure there is adequate inventory of supplies and medications available as needed for patient care
Assist pharmacists in maintaining medications records and files as needed
Place medication and supply orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels
Other duties as assigned
