The Pharmacy Technician I, Dispensing plays a critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant medications that improve lives at scale across the largest 503A and 503B compounding pharmacy in the world. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of dispensing workflows, prescription accuracy standards, labeling requirements, documentation practices, and disciplined adherence to SOPs in regulated operational environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to use pharmacy systems, barcode verification tools, digital task platforms, and AI-enabled technologies to improve execution quality and workflow efficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and clear communication skills with the ability to escalate issues early and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • High learning agility, coachability, and organizational discipline with the ability to perform accurately in fast-paced environments that require consistency and adaptability.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician registration, licensure, or certification as required by applicable state regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven ability to follow standardized processes, maintain documentation accuracy, and work effectively within quality and compliance expectations.
  • Demonstrated record of reliability, accountability, and strong performance in fast-paced environments with measurable quality and productivity expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or healthcare-related training preferred.
  • Previous experience in pharmacy operations, dispensing, production, fulfillment, or another detail-intensive regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience using technology to improve work quality and efficiency preferred, including comfort with AI-enabled tools and digital workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Review prescriptions, patient information, product details, and labeling elements carefully to ensure complete accuracy, regulatory compliance, and readiness for pharmacist review.
  • Prepare and apply accurate labels with correct dosing, auxiliary warnings, expiration details, and traceability elements supporting safe patient delivery.
  • Complete dispensing records in real time with precision, ensuring audit readiness, data integrity, and full alignment with internal procedures.
  • Organize daily dispensing activities by urgency, turnaround expectations, and workflow dependencies to consistently meet productivity and service commitments.
  • Maintain strong output under volume while preserving focus, minimizing rework, and protecting quality standards in every dispensing activity.
  • Identify discrepancies, bottlenecks, or fulfillment risks early and communicate clearly to pharmacists or leaders before problems expand.
  • Leverage established technology tools, system workflows, and data inputs to ensure accurate documentation, task visibility, and consistent execution of dispensing activities while maintaining full operational control and compliance.
  • Learn pharmacy systems, barcode tools, and digital workflows quickly, adapting smoothly as processes evolve in a scaling operation.
  • Recognize repetitive inefficiencies, suggest practical workflow enhancements, and support implementation efforts that improve speed, accuracy, and consistency.
