About The Position
Assists the pharmacist to provide prescribed pharmaceuticals for a designated patient population. Provides technical support and other activities for the Pharmacy department as delegated by a pharmacist.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Mississippi driver's license
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of MS
- Must be certified as a CPHT by successful completion of the PTCB or ExCpt exam
- Ability to learn medical abbreviations, drug strengths, IV solutions, drug generic and brand names, and basic pharmacy operations, including computer systems
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Ability to use Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, and Windows
