This role is responsible for transporting medications and supplies to pharmacies, enabling partners to perform their duties effectively, and maintaining inventory and a clean pharmacy environment. The assistant will comply with USP 795, 797, and 800, and relevant regulatory standards for medication handling. They will also contribute to the training of new pharmacy assistants when appropriate. The position requires safe, timely, and accurate transport of medications and supplies to their designated destinations. Responsibilities include performing drug inventories, rotations, and stock management, such as sorting, unpacking, and restocking medications. Adherence to isolation and radiation precautions, and utilization of proper body mechanics when handling medications are essential. The role involves communicating using customer-friendly phone skills and appropriately directing customer concerns. Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy and accurate, timely documentation of completed tasks in designated record-keeping systems are also key duties.
