About The Position

This position is for a Pharmacy Tech Ambulatory at Lankenau Medical Center. The role involves using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, assisting pharmacists with drug distribution, monitoring and restocking medication inventory, and developing relationships with colleagues and customers. Responsibilities include checking stock, placing orders, reading medication orders, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and compounding sterile and non-sterile products.

Requirements

  • A current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Registration or Pharmacy Intern Registration required (effective 6/28/26)
  • A current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Trainee will be considered as long as Pharmacy Technician Registration is complete within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
  • CPhT - Certified Pharmacy Technician - State of Pennsylvania - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information to process prescriptions.
  • Assists the pharmacists in performing technical duties related to the distribution of drugs to patients.
  • Monitors medication inventory levels and places orders to restock.
  • Develops strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Supports pharmacological services by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, placing, and expediting orders, reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, compounding sterile and non-sterile products, and other pharmaceutical therapies.
