Pharmacy Technician Advocate
About The Position
This role involves performing specialty pharmacy activities, including prior authorizations and financial assistance support. The Pharmacy Technician Advocate will serve as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination. This position will support Endocrinology and Dermatology clinics by facilitating specialty medication access and resolving patient care needs. The advocate will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain approvals, financial assistance, and timely medication delivery. Additionally, they will provide accurate information and updates to patients and healthcare teams while maintaining high-quality customer service.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.
- Must possess all state and local qualifications.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Prior Authorization experience.
- Financial Assistance experience.
Nice To Haves
- Endocrinology and Dermatology experience preferred.
