About The Position
The Pharmacy Tech practices the profession of pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care through its philosophy and policies. This person is friendly and provides remarkable customer service to support overall patient health. The role involves retrieving and stocking medications, processing prescription and customer information, preparing prescription labels, handling insurance claims, completing prescription-related paperwork, and ordering medications. The Pharmacy Tech also promotes pharmacy initiatives and clinical services, prioritizes workload, communicates effectively, supports change, maintains a clean and orderly pharmacy, and protects patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities
- Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
- Enter customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
- Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
- Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
- Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
- Stock prescription medication.
- Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
- Prioritize workload.
- Use effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
- Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
