About The Position

The Pharmacy Tech assists pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders and performs technical duties related to handling, packaging, and delivering pharmaceuticals. The role provides patient care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

The NICU Pharmacy operates seven days a week. Shifts vary between 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., with a weekend rotation and holiday requirement. Neonatal and pediatric intravenous medication compounding using USP 797 aseptic technique, as well as non-sterile medication compounding, is preferred.

Requirements

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Neonatal or pediatric intravenous medication compounding experience using USP 797 aseptic technique.
• Non-sterile medication compounding experience.
