About The Position
The Pharmacy Tech works under a pharmacist’s supervision to assist with the daily operation of the Pharmacy at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The schedule varies and will be discussed during the interview. Required coverage includes first and second shifts, with third-shift rotation as needed. The role includes rotating holidays and weekends and is per diem. The employer is focusing on candidates with one year of hospital-based experience.
Requirements
- PTCB certification is required or must be obtained within six months of hire; this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration is required if required by state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Graduate of an ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- 340B program experience preferred if working at a 340B facility.
- One year of hospital-based experience is the employer’s stated candidate focus.
