About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician in the Inpatient Pharmacy plays a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services within a hospital or healthcare facility. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medication names, and dosage forms.
- Familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards applicable to inpatient settings.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for managing inventory and maintaining accurate records.
- Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.

- Experience working in an inpatient or hospital pharmacy environment.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited program or state certification as required.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and hospital protocols.
- Maintain inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists in compounding sterile and non-sterile medications as required.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation of all medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to verify medication orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Operate pharmacy software systems to manage patient medication profiles and track inventory.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety, privacy, and infection control policies within the inpatient pharmacy setting.
