About The Position
Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Pharmacy Technician I to join their experienced inpatient pharmacy team. In this role, the technician will play an important part in delivering exceptional patient care by preparing, filling, and dispensing medications in a fast-paced hospital environment. Working alongside pharmacists and a world-renowned medical team, the technician will contribute to safe, accurate, and timely medication distribution while supporting the care of patients. This is an entry-level position where the technician learns to conduct non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and is responsible for maintaining the required documentation & records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- No Experience
- State Bd Pharm Registration

Responsibilities
- Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
- Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
- Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
- Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
