About The Position

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their supportive and experienced inpatient pharmacy team. In this role, you will assist with preparing, filling, and distributing medications to a diverse patient population while working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while collaborating with an outstanding team dedicated to delivering exceptional service. This is an entry-level position where the Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications. The technician learns to conduct non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and is responsible for maintaining the required documentation & records. The MBSH Pharmacy is responsible for dispensing medications for inpatient and outpatients. Responsibilities also include the stocking and accuracy of our Pyxis machines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Experience (Supervisor Experience)
• State Bd Pharm Registration

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Dispensing medications for inpatient and outpatients.
• Stocking and accuracy of Pyxis machines.
