About The Position
This is an opportunity for high school students or recent graduates interested in healthcare or science to gain real-world experience in a pharmacy while learning on the job. The role involves working alongside licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to prepare and label medications, assist customers, enter data, manage inventory, and support special programs. The trainee will also complete online and in-person training to prepare for a Maryland Pharmacy Technician License within six months of starting.
Requirements
- Currently in high school or have a high school diploma/GED
- Eager to learn and grow in a healthcare setting
- Comfortable using computers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to complete online training on their own time
- Must obtain Maryland Pharmacy Technician License within 6 months of starting
Responsibilities
- Learn how to prepare and label medications
- Help customers pick up prescriptions and answer basic questions
- Enter data into pharmacy systems
- Help with ordering, stocking, and organizing medications
- Support special programs like curbside pickup and bedside delivery
