About The Position

Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist – and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and standard policies and procedures of the department, a Population Health Pharmacy Technician shall assist the pharmacist in improving the health of populations through optimized medication management, improved access to medications, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred and encouraged
  • Previous experience in a community/retail pharmacy setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contacting patients with medication-related needs, such as ensuring they pick up prescriptions and supporting medication adherence initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering product recommendations.
  • Processing electronic refill requests and identifying anomalies for pharmacists to address.
  • Assisting the pharmacist with tasks related to medication therapy management and chronic disease management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and organization policies.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the pharmacist, pharmacy technician supervisor, and pharmacy director/manager.
