About The Position

Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required. This role is essential in supporting pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent service to our patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB or Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA
• Specialized, short-term training in the areas of pharmacy law, practice standards, terminology, pharmacy math, drug preparation, dosage forms, and trade/generic names.
• Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency
• At least one year of experience in pharmacy or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Meets and demonstrates competency in all Pharmacy Technician I and II requirements.
• Successfully completes required training and maintains competency in one or more of the following areas: Sterile medication preparation, Pediatric sterile and nonsterile medication preparation, Controlled substance inventory, distribution, and disposal.
• Ensures compliance with the department’s Controlled Substances Compliance Plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
