About The Position
MercyOne is focused on improving the health of its communities through both illness care and wellness. MercyOne Genesis serves a 17-county bi-state region encompassing the Quad Cities and surrounding communities in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. The health system reports national recognition for quality and patient safety. The Pharmacy Tech III assists Staff Pharmacists in providing professional pharmacy services and can work in any functional area of the Department to support accurate and efficient medication dispensing. The schedule is day shift, 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- More than 3 years of experience.
- Registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners as a Certified Pharmacy Technician before starting employment.
- National certification as a pharmacy technician within 12 months of hire.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Assist Staff Pharmacists in providing professional pharmacy services.
- Perform in any functional area of the Department to provide accurate and efficient dispensing of medications.
