About The Position
Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy II Technician at Norfolk General Hospital! This is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk) with rotating 8.5-hour shifts varying between 6 am-11 pm, Monday-Friday, and requires working every other weekend. The role involves preparing sterile and non-sterile medications under pharmacist direction, managing the drug distribution system, and providing technical support for safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy. This position performs all functions of Pharmacy Technician I & II roles.
Requirements
- Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED
- 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience REQUIRED
- Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) REQUIRED
