Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Must be PTCB certified
Must be OH Board of Pharmacy certified

Responsibilities

Collects medication history information from patients or caregivers to be used in medication reconciliation.
Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses.
Non-sterile Non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including preparation of oral syringes from liquid dosage forms.
Delivery of patient specific doses.
Prepare and perform ADC replenishment.
Performs outpatient phone triage.
Performs insurance adjudication.
Performs medication storage inspections.
Manages medication programs (i.e. Synagis program).
Prepares sterile hazardous medication (i.e. IV Chemotherapy).
Performs Sterile compounding or non-sterile hazardous compounding.
Under authorized program is able to check the work of another pharmacy technician.
Manages medication doses on the nursing unit.
Performs inpatient phone triage.
