About The Position
This position is for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Pharmacy Technician. The role is being requested to backfill lost FTE hours over several months. The primary functions will include optimizing Pyxis machines, conducting unit inspections, and building redundancy in the IV room compounding role. Currently, overtime hours are being used to complete these essential tasks. Restoring this technician FTE will help the department sustain current performance levels, improve scheduling flexibility, and reduce vulnerability to staffing shortages. Approval will allow the pharmacy department to continue providing a high level of service and operational support while maintaining compliance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) commitment
- Ability to perform tasks such as optimizing Pyxis machines and unit inspections
- Capability to contribute to IV room compounding redundancy
- Willingness to assist in various pharmacy department functions
- Experience in medication stock rotation to prevent waste
