About The Position

This unique opportunity combines hands-on clinical practice with operational and team leadership responsibilities in a growing pediatric pharmacy program. As the Supv/PIC, you will help establish pharmacy operations, oversee pharmacy workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide clinical services across inpatient and outpatient care areas. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • <2 years of Supervisor Experience
  • Medication Therapy Srvcs in MO
  • RPh

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the prompt and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications according to prescription orders from practitioners authorized by law to prescribe.
  • Instructs, coordinates and monitors the work activities of staff to meet patient and customer needs in accordance with the rules and regulations for pharmacy operations.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
  • Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Assists with pharmacy operations and integration with other departments.
  • Provides pharmaceutical care appropriate to the needs and age of the patients served.
  • Interprets patient data to identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems and ensures safe and effective drug therapy.
  • Coordinates and reviews the work of Pharmacists, Technicians and Students.
  • Assists in development and enforcement of pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with all hospital policies and governmental regulations.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
