About The Position

Join a fast-paced, patient-focused pharmacy operations team where precision and care make a direct impact. In this role, you will prepare and coordinate medication orders for delivery to both clinics and patients’ homes, including temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals requiring specialized packaging and handling. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate deliveries by collaborating with pharmacy staff, clinical liaisons, and shipping carriers. This position offers the opportunity to grow within pharmacy operations, with the potential to participate in a Pharmacy Technician Training Program upon endorsement from the Pharmacy Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0–12 months of relevant experience (pharmacy, healthcare, logistics, or fulfillment experience preferred)
  • State of Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License (required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
  • Ability to analyze, extract, and interpret data efficiently
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Verify prescription accuracy by ensuring RX orders match medications listed on delivery tickets
  • Process prescription transactions through POS systems and collect appropriate payment methods
  • Prepare and package medications using compliant, temperature-controlled, and protective shipping materials
  • Enter shipment details into systems such as UPS WorldShip and Dynamex with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Investigate delivery discrepancies and proactively communicate resolutions with internal teams
  • Collaborate with staff to clarify and improve incomplete or inaccurate delivery documentation
  • Organize and stage packages based on delivery method (carrier, clinic transfer, patient shipment, etc.)
  • Transport clinic-administered medications to other on-site pharmacies as needed
  • Support additional pharmacy operations duties as assigned
