Under general supervision, the Scuffer/Painter Apprentice scuffs parts prior to the painting process on medium to large plastic injection molded products; performs inspections, clean ups, storage, and disposal of paint products; and operates various tools and equipment. The scuffing position is also a painting apprentice position that will train to paint as time allows. The trained apprentice can fill in as a painter as required and eventually move into the painting position over time but will still be required to Scuff as needed.
