About The Position
The Technician will follow well-defined instructions utilizing necessary skills to prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Mastery of these duties include but are not limited to: Filling, refilling and labeling medications. Delivering medications to Patient Care Areas, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff. Accurate/efficient data entry and third party adjudication, purchasing and maintaining medication stock levels, maintaining proper storage of medications (inventory and expiration dates) to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services. Register and point of sale and maintenance of policy and procedures. Mentoring and training of new employee, students, and volunteers.
Requirements
- High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
- PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician.
- Maintains PTCB or ICPT Certification and Florida State registration, or Florida Pharmacy Intern License or Pharmacist licensed outside of Florida.
- Minimum Required Experience: 3 Years
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of three years retail/ambulatory experience preferred with meds to beds skill set.
