The pharmacy residency program is a twelve-month postgraduate training program designed to develop a skilled practitioner who is prepared to deliver patient-centered pharmaceutical services and interact with members of the health care team accountable for the care of patients with complex conditions in a community hospital ambulatory care environment. Residents who successfully complete the residency program will be prepared to pursue advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification, if available. The resident will be responsible for supervising and performing in all pharmacy operations in accordance with accredited hospital policies and procedures, ethical and professional practices, The Joint Commission standards, and State and Federal requirements. The resident will be in compliance with the accreditation standards of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists PGY2 pharmacy residency program.
