The purpose of this PGY1 residency program is to provide residents the opportunity to build upon their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education. Residents participate in numerous learning experiences, including providing patient care in various settings, completing a clinical research project, precepting pharmacy students and interns, and educating other disciplines. Upon completion of this program, pharmacy residents will be well-prepared for clinical pharmacy practice and patient care. Responsible for optimizing patient care by promoting rational, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy. Residents must provide proof of education and have a State Pharmacy License at the start of the program. Candidates must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Massachusetts (such as being a graduate or candidate for graduation from an ACPE-accredited degree program (or one in process of pursuing accreditation; or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee certificate from NABP). For PGY2 Candidates: Proof of enrollment in and successful completion of a PGY1 residency experience must be provided within 30 calendar days of PGY2 start date.
