About The Position

Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Pharmacy Procurement Agent to join our team. How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Active NM Board of Pharmacy license required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification-PTCB
  • Three years of experience in pharmacy, preferably in pharmacy purchasing

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate stock of pharmaceuticals.
  • Serves as supplier and purchasing consultant to regional hospitals and clinics.
  • Ensures contract compliance and correct pricing for all purchases.
  • Provide pharmacy administration with monthly financial, purchasing and issues reports.
  • Interacts with pharmaceutical representatives to ensure adequate service levels.
  • Researches short supply items, finding alternative sources and obtains emergency pharmaceuticals when required.
  • Communicates with pharmacy staff on availability of pharmaceuticals.
  • Processes all drug recalls and checks stock for recalled items.
  • Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
  • Reviews wholesaler reports for unpaid invoices.
  • Tracks invoices with Accounts Payable.
  • Conducts complete inventories of stock, completes reports
  • Oversees the return of pharmaceuticals to reverse distributors.
  • Perform other functions as required.
