About The Position

Join Walmart’s pharmacy team as a Pre-Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting patient care in a community pharmacy. The role helps improve customer health and wellness while supporting exceptional customer service and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. Interns are paid and contribute to pharmacy team and company goals.

The role includes supporting prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases, assisting patients with their needs and clinical therapies, receiving and stocking merchandise and supplies, and maintaining confidentiality and pharmacy operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and guidelines.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
• Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
