Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern - WM
About The Position
The Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern supports Walmart’s community pharmacy team while gaining hands-on experience in patient care and pharmacy operations. The role contributes to customer health and wellness and helps provide exceptional customer service and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The intern is paid and supports the team’s goals and the company’s success. The position requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school. A Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification is preferred. The job is located at 12639 Blanco Rd, San Antonio, TX 78216-8103.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
- Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
- Build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
- Cater to individual patient needs.
- Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Protect confidential information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
- Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
- Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
