The resident is responsible for the compounding and dispensing of prescribed medication, including I.V. admixture, providing professional judgment, monitoring and implementing the unit dose system of medication distribution. This person is competent to handle Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients. A pharmacy degree from an institution accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education is required. The resident is under the general supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator and direct day to day supervision of the resident preceptor. They are responsible for the assigned shift as scheduled full time or part-time. The resident is required to complete all goals and objectives as required by the residency program. The employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.
