About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Strategy & Performance, the Pharmacy Manager is a key leader within the BioScript Pharmacy team, helping ensure patients receive the complex therapies they need with compassion, expertise, and confidence. This role offers the opportunity to lead beyond the day-to-day. You will build and develop a high-performing team, influence strategic priorities, strengthen pharmacy operations, and identify opportunities to improve the patient experience and drive sustainable growth. By fostering accountability, encouraging innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, you will play an important role in shaping the future of our pharmacy and contributing to BioScript’s organizational and financial success.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed to practice Pharmacy in Manitoba.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of pharmacy experience, including people leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a dynamic environment.
  • A strategic mindset with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to quickly identify opportunities, navigate challenges, and drive solutions.
  • Demonstrated bias for action and a willingness to take initiative, influence change, and deliver results.
  • Confidence in having candid conversations, providing constructive feedback, and holding team members accountable.
  • Exceptional business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine curiosity to understand people, processes, and business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook (Email), and Word.
  • Takes ownership of decisions, actions, and outcomes, learning from setbacks and leveraging feedback for continuous growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop pharmacy team members while fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and coaching conversations, identifying opportunities to elevate team performance and engagement.
  • Act as the "face of BioScript" and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, explore, and support new business opportunities that contribute to pharmacy growth and patient outcomes.
  • Drive innovative solutions that enhance the patient experience and strengthen BioScript's reputation as a leader in specialty pharmacy.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and proactively identify opportunities, challenges, and improvements.
  • Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations while maintaining a strategic focus on performance, efficiency, and future growth.
  • Lead pharmacy success through effective budget management, operational excellence, and achievement of key performance metrics.
  • Champion change initiatives and support the team through evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and continuous development of team members.
