Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Current Wyoming Pharmacy License
  • Has and maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on drug therapy monitoring activities, prescribing quality assurance, medication protocol development, antimicrobial stewardship, drug information service provision, and other related pharmacotherapy services.
  • Oversee pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in daily operations including compounding and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies pursuant to medication orders and performs other technical duties of the pharmacy.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Weston County Health Services (WCHS).
  • Provide oversight of the medication therapy management (MTM) for nursing home and acute care patients.
  • Develop pharmacy staff competencies, orientation checklists, and annual reviews as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Staff Chairperson regarding meeting agendas.
  • Oversee the medication formulary and prepares submissions for new inclusions to the formulary.
  • Provide Drug Use Evaluations as needed or requested.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and clinical colleagues within Community Connect-Monument Health to establish clinical best practice standards within Weston County Health Services hospital, nursing home and clinics.
  • Implement and oversee the bedside barcode medication administration process.
  • Implement and oversee the 340B program, the adverse drug reaction reporting process, and medication event reporting process.
  • Oversee departmental inventory and departmental budget.
  • Assist with the Anti-Microbial Stewardship (AMS) program and personnel within the hospital and clinics.
  • Maintain automated dispensing cabinet contents (e.g., Omnicell) including but not limited to inventory, par levels, and user access.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating departmental and facility policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Compensation: starting at $152,900 annually, depending on experience
