About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. Requirements

  • Current state Registered Pharmacist License
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • 3 or more years of hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Experience with hospital computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pharmacy leadership experience preferred
  • Applicable board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and control of pharmacy services throughout the hospital.
  • Maintenance of policies and procedures for safe administration, control, storage, and use of medications.
  • Serve as full-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or acting PIC in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy.
  • Management of Pharmacy staff.
  • Financial decisions including inventory control and budgeting.
  • Interactions with physicians and other departments concerning quality of care and education.
  • Ensuring all licensing criteria are met and up to date.
  • Attending administrative meetings related to regulatory affairs.
  • Implementing/changing operations based on State and Federal regulations.
  • Other functions concerned with patient care and operations of the Pharmacy consistent with policies and procedures of the hospital and State and Federal laws.
