About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager for its Pharmacy Office located in Orlando, Florida. This role operates under the direction of the Chief Pharmacy Officer and is responsible for the overall local operations of the Florida Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager ensures that all prescriptions and medications are dispensed appropriately, manages procurement of inventory, and maintains processes and procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by State Board of Pharmacy in Florida.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a hospital, long-term care or retail pharmacy.
  • Two (2) years administrative experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of professional and commercial phases of the pharmaceutical industry, with emphasis on compounding and dispensing, drug actions, side effects, contraindications and normal dosage ranges, and Federal, State and local laws regarding the pharmacy and dispensing of drugs.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong customer service skills and team player with the ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Multi-tasker with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and car is required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate staff in-services, training, competency assessments, orientation, evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Work closely with leadership to implement distribution methods that serve the Individuals’ needs and tend to pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain competency by attending at least 30 DEU hours of continuing education every two years.
  • Assist in setting up contracts, Medicaid applications and renewals.
  • Prepare and disseminate information requested by government agencies and external auditors.
