About The Position
Join our Shields team today! Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through specialty pharmacy. We’re hiring a Pharmacy Liaison —a Specialty Pharmacy Technician who will work onsite in a hospital clinic or hospital office building to support patients with medication adherence and personalized pharmacy services. Onsite for training with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule.
Requirements
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License AND Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification REQUIRED
- 5+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication, organization, and tech skills
- Empathy, integrity, and a team-first mindset
- Solid computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as, navigating the internet and web-based platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinic teams to deliver hands-on patient care.
- Process prior authorizations, resolve insurance issues, and support financial assistance.
- Educate patients on pharmacy services and assist with specialty and retail prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to process improvements.
