As a Pharmacy Inventory Technician, you will support our Inventory Manager to ensure that every step in our pharmacy inventory process runs smoothly and efficiently. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience
  • Must have a current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificate
  • Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • Must maintain BLS /CPR
  • Minimum 5 years pharmacy experience
  • Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates analytical skills
  • Demonstrates understanding of 340b pricing program practices

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5 years pharmacy inventory management preferred
  • Experience working with computer hardware and software applications, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as liaison to each pharmacy location ensuring appropriate, accurate, and timely delivery of items.
  • Performs review and assists in appropriate product changes as necessary to the pharmacy system for accurate charging/dispensing/accruals with the 340B drug- pricing program.
  • Follows-up on back-orders, drug recalls, and problem orders identified per policy when needed.
  • Supports annual physical inventory of all pharmaceuticals including controlled substances.
  • Performs routine audits to ensure appropriate stock levels and recommendations for changes to par levels and product selection.
  • Assist in the expired medication removal process and coordinates the assignment of removal of expired medications and disposal/credit process with the expired drugs vendor.
  • Performs management of new medication additions including assigning stock locations in the pharmacy technology system and printing new medication labels in the wholesaler’s software program.
  • Assist in the receiving of patient assistance program (PAP) medications.
  • Assist in the receipt, filling and reassigning of medications from the Texas HIV Medication Program (THMP).
  • Perform other duties as assigned
