About The Position

The Pharmacy Intern is registered with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy to receive experiential pharmacy practice training. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the intern assists with the storage, preparation, and dispensing of medications for patients, patient care areas, and departments. The role includes identifying, preparing, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications, including sterile products, and providing other pharmaceutical care commensurate with the intern’s years of professional education.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited college or school of Pharmacy.
• Hold a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with storing, preparing, and dispensing medications for patients, patient care areas, and departments.
• Identify, prepare, package, label, and deliver medications, including sterile products.
