About The Position

CVS Health is seeking a third-year pharmacy intern to work as part of a retail pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The intern helps create a safe and effective pharmacy environment and deliver care to patients while supporting CVS Health’s goals of increasing access, lowering costs, and improving quality of care. The role includes responsibilities across patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.

The intern helps keep customers and patients healthy through patient-care programs, works collaboratively to improve outcomes, and contributes to a caring, energetic, and supportive team culture. Interns are expected to complete required training and obtain applicable licensure in accordance with state guidelines. Once permitted by state regulations, interns should strive to provide patient immunizations.

This is a part-time position. The typical pay range is $20.00–$23.75. Eligible benefits and programs may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframes.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items; occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds and exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
• Finger dexterity for tasks such as picking, pinching, and typing.
• Ability to reach overhead and extend hands and arms in multiple directions to place, move, or lift items.
• Ability to adjust machines to exact positions.
• Ability to stoop and bend at the waist to move items between low and high positions.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts.
• Ability to communicate information and instructions orally to colleagues and customers.
