About The Position

CVS Health’s 3rd year Pharmacy Intern applies pharmacy-school learning in a retail pharmacy setting while preparing for increasing responsibility and a future Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor, the intern completes a comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with district leaders, gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations. The intern supports pharmacy operations and helps ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service to patients. The role requires consistent use of Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, effective communication, empathy, and contribution to a safe and inclusive culture. With increasing tenure, the intern takes on greater responsibility for safe and effective pharmacy operations. Work includes supporting prescription fulfillment at pharmacy workstations, assisting patients, handling certain prescription-related communications and inventory activities as permitted by law, and contributing to team development. Additional patient-care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, may be provided where legally permitted and when supported by required training and certification. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require. This is a part-time position. The typical pay range is $21.25–$25.00. The position is eligible, depending on hours worked and eligibility, for benefits and programs that may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs. The anticipated application window closes November 7, 2026.
