Pharmacy Intern

CVS Health•Fargo, ND

About The Position

CVS Health’s 3rd year Pharmacy Interns apply pharmacy-school learning in a retail pharmacy setting while preparing for increasing responsibility and a future Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor, interns complete a comprehensive training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with district leaders, while gaining an overview of store, district, and regional operations. They assist pharmacy teams with smooth operations and the prompt, safe, and accurate filling of prescriptions, while providing caring service to patients. Interns learn to follow Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and effective communication practices, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging workplace. As their experience grows, interns take on greater responsibility for pharmacy operations and patient care within applicable laws and regulations. Where permitted and supported by required training and certification, they may also provide additional health services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs arise. This is a part-time position. The typical pay range is $20.00–$23.75. Depending on hours worked and eligibility, benefits may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.
