Pharmacy Intern

CVS Health•Warren, MI

About The Position

CVS Health’s 3rd year Pharmacy Interns apply pharmacy-school learning in a retail pharmacy while preparing for increased responsibility and a future Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor, interns complete a comprehensive training roadmap involving Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with district leaders, and gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations. In the pharmacy, they support smooth operations and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Interns use company procedures and best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for patients and colleagues. As experience grows, interns take on greater responsibility for pharmacy operations and patient care. Depending on applicable laws, regulations, training, and certification, duties may include prescription workflow support, patient service and counseling assistance under pharmacist supervision, prescription-related communication with prescribers, inventory tasks, and additional patient health services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require. This is a part-time position. The typical pay range is $20.00–$23.75.
