About The Position

CVS Health’s 3rd year Pharmacy Interns apply pharmacy-school learning in real-world practice and prepare for increasing responsibility in a Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor, interns complete a comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with district leaders, while gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations. Interns learn pharmacy workflows, Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and effective communication. They are expected to show empathy and genuine care in customer and colleague interactions and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. As tenure increases, they take on greater responsibility for pharmacy operations and patient safety. Where permitted and supported by training and certification, they may also provide additional health services, support immunizations, and staff offsite clinics.
