About The Position

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you work as part of the pharmacy team to help increase access, lower costs, and improve the quality of care. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you help maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment and deliver care to patients. The role includes responsibilities related to patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.

A key part of the role is supporting the adoption and management of patient care programs. Interns are expected to demonstrate empathy and compassion, seek opportunities to grow and collaborate, help align colleagues around the company’s purpose, and contribute to a caring, energetic, enthusiastic, and proud team culture. The position also requires completing training and obtaining any required licensure under applicable state guidelines.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and the required timeframe.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items; perform fine finger movements; reach overhead and in multiple directions; and adjust machines precisely.
• Ability to stoop and bend to move items between low and high positions.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts.
• Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers.
• Ability to occasionally lift or exert up to 20 pounds, frequently exert up to 10 pounds, and constantly exert a negligible amount of force.
