About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Intern performs functions related to medication preparation, storage, and distribution within the health system. The student provides higher levels of professional support as they advance through pharmacy school, supports pharmaceutical activity goals, contributes to team efforts to achieve departmental and corporate objectives, exercises good judgment and decisiveness, and demonstrates commitment to professional growth. The role is based in the Dearborn Hospital outpatient pharmacy. The pharmacy department provides reliable and safe medication services and medication information for providers, staff, and patients across outpatient, inpatient, ambulatory, specialty, and critical care settings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fulfilling requirements toward a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Michigan Pharmacist Intern license required upon hire.
