The Pharmacy Infusion Technician II Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of medication ordered as permitted by state law. Maintains good customer service by Processing, compounding, and delivering medication in a timely manner. Responsible for ordering and inventory on medical supplies and medications. Other duties include ordering medication and stocking inventory, processing clinic medication requisitions, maintaining accurate records and other duties as required by the Pharmacist. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High School diploma /GED and completion of Tech Training Program including Sterile Product course
  • ACPE Pharmacy Sterile Products Certification/IV Certified. PTCB certified. TSBP registered
  • 6+ years pharmacy experience, 5+ years in pharmacy admixture
  • Demonstrated ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions.
  • Able to communicate with customers to handle complaints and problems
  • Operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions.
  • Math cash handling-able to add and subtract; able to make change; able to complete daily cash report
  • Type 20wpm
  • 10-key by touch
  • Compounding Sterile Products
  • Must have order entry, purchasing and inventory experience with medications and supplies
  • Stress Tolerance- to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina- to work in a fast-paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy

Nice To Haves

  • HMO’s and 3rd party managed care experience
  • Demonstrated ability to know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist
  • Compounding Chemotherapy
