About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and preparing prescription orders for final verification by a pharmacist. The ideal candidate is accurate, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a pharmacy team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current, clear, and active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ability to work at a moderate production pace while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work required weekend and evening shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume pharmacy or production environment.
  • Familiarity with prescription processing, medication packaging, labeling, and scanning.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Pick and retrieve medications from shelving, prepack racks, and designated storage areas.
  • Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
  • Prepare completed prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.
  • Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications, labeling products, and storing them appropriately.
  • Manually package medications, materials, and pharmacy products.
  • Process returned medications and assist with proper recycling or disposal procedures.
  • Notify the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan correctly or presents a potential discrepancy.
  • Maintain designated workstations and replenish necessary supplies.
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
  • Follow departmental policies related to safety, attendance, quality, and dress code.
  • Assist with additional pharmacy duties as assigned.
