About The Position

An active Pharmacy Technician License in Oregon is required to be considered for this position. We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, and detail-oriented Pharmacy Eligibility Specialist to join our team. In this role, you won't just be filling a seat, you’ll be a vital bridge connecting clients to life-changing programs, solving puzzles behind the scenes, and supporting our incredible pharmacy team.

Requirements

  • An associates degree from an accredited college/ university. (In lieu of a degree, we will consider relevant education and experience)
  • Two (2) years of Pharmacy Technician experience, including lead or project experience.
  • Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Oregon in good standing by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

  • Screen, research, and connect clients to vital health resources and the Drug Assistance Program, translating complex federal, state, and manufacturer policies into clear guidance for clients and care teams.
  • Provide technical assistance to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians while ensuring pharmacy maintenance and prescription processing comply strictly with State of Oregon Pharmacy Board and 340B regulations.
  • Interview clients, research eligibility, and submit documentation for manufacturer assistance and healthcare benefit plans (like Medicaid/Medicare), while maintaining detailed case records and ongoing contact with patients and providers.
  • Serve as a key point of contact to resolve billing and service issues for clients, medical providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide staffing relief as-needed in health center pharmacies. Gather patient information, input data into the pharmacy computer system, and physically prepare prescriptions by counting, pouring, mixing, and labeling medications.
  • Perform online billing, troubleshoot third-party insurance issues, review patient profiles for coverage notes, and handle non-clinical inquiries from staff and patients.
